Deva - Realm of the Mother (2016)

Deva is a husband and wife musician team, David and Heather Hathaway, who fuse an eclectic mix of world music primarily influenced by Indian ragas and world beats. Deva has recorded simple call and response chants to Carnatic classical ragas. All songs of Deva are recorded, produced, mixed and tracked by David Hathaway.
David has been making music since childhood. He is a multi-talented musician, engineer, songwriter and producer. He is well versed on many instruments including tabla, mridangam and harmonium on Deva’s recordings. He has recorded in many studios for artist and for tv/film.
Heather (Devahuti) has been singing since childhood and moved to Nashville after high school to attend music college at Belmont University. She then moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of her dreams as a singer/songwriter. Heather is currently a student of Babu Parameswaran training in the Carnatic classical vocal arts.
Together, David and Heather have been writing and recording many genres and styles of music since 2000.
