Another treat of excellence: this disc contains the famous pieces 'La Mer', 'Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune' and the little less known 'Ibéria'. The recording - although dating from the analogue era - has excellent definition, clarity, warmth and balance. But lets not rule out Haitink and his Concertgebouw Orchestra. The playing is luscious, fluid and volatile, like a whisp of french perfume. Of course, all clichés, but it is true for this recording. The richness of the sounds that are being presented in for instance 'Prélude' are just breathtaking. Again, a must hear recording!
