Chiara Massini has been a star of concerts and musical festivals throughout the world for over a decade and wherever she goes she plays to both public and critical acclaim.
The press has written of her: “She has revealed herself as an exceptional artistic personality who brings selected works to life with ingenious liberties, her rubato is executed with stylistic certainty and sheer delight.”
Her December 2008 American double debut in Delray Beach, where she performed solo on the harpsichord, and in Palm Beach, where she performed both solo and with a chamber group, were no exception. Both critics and the public were awed by her technical grasp of the music as well as the passion with which she played. As always, the audience was with her from the first touch of the keyboard to the end.
She first played Bach's Goldberg Variation in public in Switzerland in August of 2005. It has become the linchpin of her performing career. In June of 2006 she recorded this CD in a studio in Pisa, Italy. One critic remarked after hearing her Goldberg that other harpsichordists seem dull by comparison.
