Issued in 2006, Something for the Weekend is a unique Brass Construction compilation. Rather than cram as many single edits of A-sides as possible, it selects ten of the band's songs in either full album or extended 12" form. Its scope covers the earliest single, 1976's number one R&B hit "Movin'," through the last one to chart, 1985's "Give and Take." There's not enough room for each significant Brass Construction recording, but it's a satisfying alternative for those who are typically frustrated by edit-heavy anthologies. This was released by Stateside, a catalog subsidiary of Capitol in the U.K.Track List
