Xiu Xiu: unique voice and clarity, moments of childlike ridiculousness, lyrics that are strange but feel like home. Devendra Banhart: same description. And yet they differ so much. Xiu Xiu looks down to watch everything fall apart. Whispering and screaming among a slight pop-like structure of electronic blips and bleeps. Banhart looks up to the sky and finds beauty and hope in everything, singing with gigantic groups of smiles while strumming away on lo-fi acoustic guitars and the occasional hand claps. Here, they take a song of their own and switch places. Xiu Xiu takes over "The Body Breaks" while Devendra takes on "Support Our Troops! OH!"
