The White Stripes - Live in Las Vegas [2003]

Recorded Live @ The Joint in Las Vegas on September 20th, 2003, this is a rip of 3 LP US Vinyl Promotional V2 Records. This rare 3 LP vinyl promo was pressed for v2 contest winners who were flown out to Vegas for the White Stripes show in September 2003. There were only 30-40 copies of the show pressed up. The audio is taken directly from the soundboard.

The original vinyl was bought at a charity auction.

A Pioneer PDR-509 CD recorder with a Burr Brown DAC was used to record the tracks from a Pioneer PL-518 turntable with a Shure M950ED cartridge & new Pfhansteihl stylus. The power/Pre Amp was a Marantz 2275. Tone controls were switched to off.

The tracks were then ripped to lossless .wav files in Adobe Audition then converted to 224kbps CBR MP3 files using Lame 3.93U codec.

There are a few crackles and pops, but nothing really distracting (anything you can hear) after the music kicks in. The surface noise is only in the dead vinyl. After Jack White begins to shred, the light surface noise is really an afterthought.

All files went through Sony Vinyl restoration. The album sides have been split into individual tracks using musiCutter 0.7.1.
