Personal Remark:
Ivan Rebroff was kind of a phenomenon here in Germany. Although his image was to be a Russian - he was famous for singing russian traditionals and wearing traditional russion clothings - he was thoroughly german without any personal relation to the russian motherland. Although this made him a bit wacky to most people here, he was also admired for his unique voice with an extraordinary vocal range. So it's not surprising beyond singing "Schlager" and russian traditionals, he was also a great singer of opera and operetta. I've got no idea, if anyone in Russia knows that guy, but this record of christmas songs is a remarkable one. Unfortunately this is the best quality I can offer, but I'll try to get a original issue for a lossless release - at least until next christmas, ;).

In this spirit: Happy Christmas, axaxhome! :)
