The recital was recorded live in February 2000 and formed part of the acclaimed VOICES OF OUR TIME series at the Theatre Musical de Paris-Chatelet. Ian Bostridge presented a selection of lieder by two of the most famous composers of the genre, Schubert and Wolf, whose works represent both the beginning and the end of this tradition.
