The Mugwumps - The Combined Collection (4 Releases, 2007-2014)

The Mugwumps are straight up 4-chord punkrockers from Austria. Be sure, these ultra catchy pop punk tunes make happy any fan of the genre… Very impressive!

The Mugwumps hailing from some stupid, boring, Zillertal Backwood Valley in Tyrol, Austria. After knowing each other and being friends since years, they started the Band back in 2002 out of addiction to Punk Rock and Rock 'N' Roll music and not at least because there is nothing better to do at place flooded by annoying tourists and local geeks. They played their first Show on Halloween 2002, and since then shared the stage with bands like The Apers, Retarded, Manges, Teenage Bottlerocket, and The Queers. Since those days, they played regularly and quite a lot of concerts, mostly in the Austrian Area. The guys dig the bands like Ramones; like collect the records; comics, old Spy-, Spaghetti Western-, Mafia- and War-movies, dry-wry humour, hanging out, and they are even dig a Metal! After going through some injury breaks, the Band recorded their first songs in July 2004, handled the result somehow like a Demo and got reviews that they are sounding like a mix of early Retarded, Riverdales or some Queers stuff. In early 2007 The Mugwumps released their first 7" called "…Slit Your Tire" on Varmint Records. After that the band released their first full-length 12" LP "Banana Brain" on Bachelor Records, which been re-relesed on CD via Kevin Aper's new record label Monster Zero. Next comes the second 7" called "Do Time" released through US based It's Alive label. Since that that the guys were quite active and also very inactive… especially between 2009-2013. Their last to date records is "Mutation In The Family" was released this spring at Monster Zero in Europe and at It's Alive Records in Unites States.
