Sting - Brand New Day (2000)

Sting was as much pointed out with Police of which no one is unaware of "Roxanne" and "Message In A Bottle" only in solo, career which it begins in the medium from the Eighties. This one is marked by some essential opus of which emergent especially first The Dream Of The Blue Turtles and Bring One The Night which see it associating its talent to some musicians of jazz among most innovative: the saxophonist Branford Marsalis who played with Miles Davis, one of the best arrangers of this last, Gil Evans, or Darryl Jones also noticed at Miles and with the same centre of Rolling Stones in the place of Bill Wyman. Brand New Day is, at the dawn of the third millenium, always very occupied by its activities within humane association Amnesty International. Impassioned like his friend Peter Gabriel by the world sound system (it sang at the side of Youssou Dour), it delivers here the best of its art in company of the genius of the soul Stevie Wonder and the singer of raï Cheb Mami.



Sting s'est autant fait remarquer avec Police dont nul n'ignore "Roxanne" et "Message In A Bottle" qu'en solo, carrière qu'il débute au milieu des années 80. Brand New Day est, à l'aube du troisième millénaire, toujours très occupé par ses activités au sein de l'association humanitaire Amnesty International. Passionné comme son ami Peter Gabriel par la sono mondiale (il a chanté au côté de Youssou N'Dour), il livre ici le meilleur de son art en compagnie du génie de la soul Stevie Wonder et du chanteur de raï Cheb Mami.
