Produced by David Torn - and featuring the legendary guitarist on all its tracks - Sonar’s fourth release Vortex is the Swiss band’s first on the RareNoise label. The band, comprised of guitarists Stephan Thelen and Bernhard Wagner, bassist Christian Kuntner and drummer Manuel Pasquinelli have long been celebrated for combining the power and dynamics of art rock with a minimalist aesthetic and the quartet’s link up with David Torn - suggested by Henry Kaiser - has taken the band’s music to new heights.
