Sloppy Seconds are back with their classic style of punk rock attack. 'More Trouble' is their first new album since 1996 & is chalk full of new gems as well as a cover of a Connie Francis classic. With themes close to their hearts like, porn stars, junk food, parties, beer blasts, comic books, they have carved their niche in the punk underworld. Produced by Paul Mahern of the Zero Boys. What a KILLER comeback for the kings of "Junk-Rock"!!! Your brian will hardly be able to contain all the instant "junk-hits" there are on this CD!!! How good can a record be? This good!!! [Toxxy]

If given the impossible task of naming my favorite punk rock song I might pick "you got a great body, but your record collection sucks" by Sloppy Seconds. Musically this track is pop punk heaven and lyrically it hits the spot perfectly.

So you meet that cutie at the bowling alley, bar, church or strip club. For some reason she can by-pass your bad acne and poser hair cut and wishes to take you home. If you bother to examine the possibility of compatibility, you might get a clue by prying into her music collection.

The girl's pretty. So your willing to compromise to a large extent and stomach some B52's or Pixies. However what sort of erection killer is a chick with a large collection of new age, soundtrack or new country cd's?

How many guys have hung around a girl like a stale fart for obvious reasons, even though they suspected she watched "American Idol?" I plead guilty your honor. [Amazon user review]

    Roger Seibel - mastering
    Mike Kreffel - artwork
Marc D. Allan - background vocals

Mr. T - Intro speech on "Kill the Trendy"

Jason McLean, who did the background vocals on "Smashed Again" was the same background vocalist from the song "You Gotta Keep Em Separated" by The Offspring.

Mr. T lended his voice to an audio clip on this album. This was because band had met him in a comic book store years earlier, Mr. T having noticed B.A.'s name and gold chains.

    Punk Rock masterpeice!

A truely awesome CD from this bunch of vastly underated US punkers.coming across like an updated RAMONES but with more than a hint of self-mockery and wit it will surprise the unwary and delight the initiated.the songs? Don't expect ballads but a reason to survive the weekend! [Amazon user review]

Sloppy Seconds are a band I've enjoyed for years. Their album Destroyed is a punk rock classic and the band are often compared to The Ramones but I'd consider Sloppy Seconds to be more interesting musically. The band coined the term junk rock to describe their sound which others have described as pop punk which aligns this band with The Buzzcocks, The Descendents and yes, the Ramones.

More Trouble Than they're worth was released in 1998 on Dexter Holland of The Offspring's Nitro record label but is now out of print. Lyrical subject matter cover sci-fi - The Queen From Outer Space and the Thing from Uranus, killing trendies, good looking girls with horrible taste in music, drinking, drive-in movie theatres, not being loved by Lesbians and pizza. Politically correct? Nah, nothing to do with politics at all. [smalltakeover.blog]
