Shonen Knife - Let's Knife (1992) [ORG US Release] RESTORED

Let's Knife is a fifth album by Japanese girl trio Shonen Knife and their first album for Major Label. It consists mostly of re-recordings of earlier songs, done in a more technologically advanced studio. Most fans of the band consider this to be the best of Shonen Knife's albums.

Song titles "Twist Barbie", "Flying Jelly Attack", and "I Am a Cat" offer an accurate snapshot of this Japanese band…then there's the environmental anthem (?) "Bear Up Bison": "He has a right to live though he's ill ill ill-shaped/He's on the way to extinction/We only want what's best for him/Bear up bison never say die!". There's something fascinating about having Western culture thrown back at us in this quirky, unpretentious manner, and Shonen Knife is well on their way to becoming a cult favorite – for those who "get" it.
