The band’s next album, Melancholia, approaches quickly with an August 18, 2017 release date. The instrumental melodic mathcore band goes full-on calculus with this new song, crafting speedy passages that seem intent on giving the listener a surge of adrenaline. Everyone seems to be on their A game, giving us surgically precise shredding and atmospheric beauty all in one track. Guitarist Andrew Cresto states that ‘”Lost in a Reverie” perfectly reflects the album’s theme of violently repressed emotion, only to settle into a melancholic calm, much like life’.
