Rage Against the Machine is the debut studio album by alternative metal band Rage Against the Machine. The album was released on November 11, 1992. The songs on Rage Against the Machine all feature political messages. The album went to #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, and #45 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Tom Morello's guitar technique is more traditional on RATM relative to other albums. His guitar technique features a greater influence from metal on this album, as opposed to the hip hop and electronic inspiration that would mark his later work.
