Featuring artists from around the globe, we are proud to present the first official Electronic Suite of the Grammy nominated artist and Afro-Colombian legend Petrona Martinez. PETRONICA is an eclectic journey that takes the listener through a unique tapestry of sound: Electronic beats with native Colombian drums, modern synths with ancestral vocals, traditional grooves with modern production techniques, and the local ethnic culture of Bullerengue of distant Colombia with the global culture of Electronic and Alternative Music.

Petrona’s original music is ancestral, organic and mainly percussive with infectious grooves and outstanding vocal performances. Its influence has played a major role in the emergence of the current independent music scene, on which, young urban musicians discover and experiment with traditional musics from contemporary settings. Through the years, this music has attracted several world-class DJs to add their electronic touches; however, this marks the very first time that a selected group of DJs, artists and producers are invited to collaborate with Petrona and her original production team. The eclectic Suite offers a tasteful palette of moods and styles including House, Electro, Drum n’ Bass, Afro-Beat, Minimal, Tropical Bass, Lounge and Pop among others. More than 500 recording hours were necessary to produce Petronica in 20 cities including New York, Los Angeles, London, Bogotá, Madrid, Buenos Aires, Amsterdam and Athens.
