    New version of the Paco de Lucía Integral, 27 CDs his complete work remastered. "Cositas Buenas", his last album, comes as a new in this new Integral. Now in a new economic format. This collection is a unique tour of the work of Paco de Lucia from 1964 to 2004. In an interview given during the editing of this album, Paco de Lucía confessed: “Making a record is having something new to say, you have to live, you have to feel things, fill yourself with new things so that this record is not a repetition of the previous. Every time I make a new record, I like to have something new to say, to create a surprise, so that the guitarist who puts on this album has something new to learn or to feel. That’s why they can take a bit of time.” And he had taken 8 years after Zyryab, and 10 since Siroco.

    “I spend more than half a year travelling, and to compose really you have to be in a room a number of hours with nothing to disturb you, alone, concentrated on that record. In the end I said, ‘it’s been a long time, I’m going to shut myself in a room in my house and until I have made this record, I’m not going to do any more concerts’. And effectively, after 7 months and 10 hours daily, this is the record.”
    The title reveals the main intention: “This record is a tribute to my mother; I recorded it during her illness when she was 6 months in hospital and I went every morning to visit her. I was with her many hours in the afternoons and in the evenings. This whole album is impregnated with that suffering, by the pain I felt seeing that my mother was leaving me. Apart from that I also told her on one occasion that I was going to dedicate it to her, and she was very happy. She gave me a beautiful smile, a smile I will never forget, and I think that’s reason enough to dedicate it to her.”
    Her name is transcribed literally: “Luzía, with z because I wanted to restore my mother’s origins which were Portuguese. There Luzía is with z, and the whole thing is a homage —there’s also a song I dedicate to Camaron— but in general the record is impregnated with that pain that you feel when your mother is leaving.”
    In some way this record is also a homage to his homeland, as can be seen in some of the titles: ‘Rio de la Miel’, ‘La Villa Vieja’, ‘Calle Munición’ and ‘El Choruelo’, all places in Algeciras.
    This record is the first time the we hear the voice of Paco singing (his frustrated passion): “I sang a reference in the recording for a cantaor (singer) to then record over the top, but it seemed to me to be much more intimate, much more true and more direct, to give this homage with my own voice, despite the fact that any cantaor would have done it better.”
