Description
Sounding like a cross between Laurie Anderson (on the low notes) and Dolores from the Cranberries (on the high notes), Mary Margaret is yet another troubadour with something to say. It was recorded in 1988 and is now something of a cult item. Canadian singer O'Hara exhorts her romantic frustrationsthrough some pretty powerful lyrics. 'There is but one love, but one love won't do' (on 'When You Know Why You're Happy') and 'I miss you and you give me something to cry about' ('To Cry About') should keep the tears flowing across the land. A translucent album.
