Miguel Angel Cortes is as soloist-and in his role as guitarist accompaniment to one of the existing quarries Flamenco. Flamenco Today Award 2011 'Best guitar accompaniment'. It is the usual guitarist and singer Esperanza Fernández Arcángel. He has collaborated with artists like Luz Casal, Diana Navarro, Carmen Linares, Enrique Morente, Estrella Morente, Miguel Poveda, Chano Lobato, José Mercé Jose de La Tomasa, Chiquetete and El Pele, among others. In this paper 'Calvary of genius', who adds his third solo, offers a range of flamenco styles with collaborations singing Marina Heredia, Archangel and Macarena de la Torre, among others.
Miguel Ángel Cortés was born in Granada on January 26, 1972, in a family of ancient lineage of guitarists. No wonder, then, that Michelangelo continued the family tradition. At the age of eight he entered the world of flamenco through Zambra del Sacromonte. In 1986 accompanies dance greats as Mariquilla, Manolete, Antonio Canales, Javier Barón and Juan Andrés Maya, making long tours of Europe, Turkey, the US and Japan. He has also accompanied by Spain to the singing greats like Jose de la Tomasa, José Mercé, Chano Lobato, Luis Heredia Polish Morenito Illora, Estrella Morente … In 1990 began working with singer Carmen Linares, with his brother, Paco Cortés, Spain in numerous concerts and world tours. In 1994 he won first prize Guitar Competition Paco de Lucia has two concerts in 1995 with his group at the Alhambra Granada Theatre. In December of the same year he collaborated in the recording Omega, Enrique Morente and the rock band Nick Lizard. But this is not the only album that brings Miguel Ángel Cortés talent: recording with various artists like his brother, Paco Cortés. The Polish and Estrella Morente. In mid-1998 he started recording his solo album "Patriarch", which reflects his musical maturity as a guitarist as well as his role develops Flemish composer. It provides an exquisite sensitivity to the classic touches mixed with a thorough search of new musical forms. In his solo performances, he is accompanied by José Antonio Galicia and Chico Fargas (percussion), Miguel Corral (guitar) and Marina Heredia and Rachel Love (vocals).
