Marco Beltrami and Anna Drubich - Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (2019)

Marco Beltrami (Logan, A Quiet Place, Scream, 3:10 to Yuma) and Anna Drubich are teaming up to score the upcoming horror thriller Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. The film is directed by André Ovredal (The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Trollhunter) and stars Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza, Gabriel Rush, Austin Abrams, Dean Norris, Gil Bellows, Lorraine Toussaint, Austin Zajur and Natalie Ganzhorn.

The movie is based on Alvin Schwartz’ bestselling trilogy of books and follows a group of teens who must solve the mystery surrounding a wave of spectacularly horrific deaths in their small town. Dan Hageman & Kevin Hageman wrote the screenplay based on a screen story by Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth) who is also producing the project with Sean Daniel (The Mummy, The Scorpion King), Jason F. Brown (The Expanse), J. Miles Dale (Mama, The Strain) and Elizabeth Grave. Beltrami has previously scored the del Toro-directed Mimic, Blade II and Hellboy and the del Toro-produced Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark will be released on August 9, 2019 by CBS Films/Lionsgate.
