Marcel Loeffler - Images (2012)

After his emotional tribute to Gus Viseur in 2010, Marcel Loeffler decided to record a more personal project, presenting his own compositions. With this new album, the accordionist demonstrates one more time the wild range of his skills, he feels as comfortable on waltzes (Ovation) as on ballads ( Olmo) or on compositions turned to the groove ( Vago); he also pays tribute to Jacques Brel in his review of "La chanson des vieux amants".
Titles of the album sound like movie tracks and one can easily imagine traveling inside a painting made by Marcel Loeffler
They pay tribute to Jazz and to the accordion which he has been defending since the beginning.
For this new project in Quartet, Marcel Loeffler asked his best friends Gilles Coquard ( bass) , Jean Yves Jung (piano) and Jean Marc Robin (drums) to join.
