"Your Love Alone Is Not Enough" is a single by Welsh Rock group the Manic Street Preachers, taken from the album Send Away the Tigers, also featuring vocals from Nina Persson of The Cardigans. It was released on 30 April 2007, having already charted at No. 26 in the UK charts on early download sales. On Tuesday, Music Week reported that the single was due to hit #1 on Sunday 6th May, after its physical release. However, they charted at number 2, behind the Beyonce-Shakira collaboration "Beautiful Liar".
The song includes the lyrics "You Stole the Sun from My Heart"; a quote from an earlier hit of the same name on the album This Is My Truth, Tell Me Yours and "Trade All Your Heroes in for Ghosts", a reference to Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here".
iTunes also offers two exclusive solo acoustic versions of the song - one sung entirely by James Dean Bradfield, and the other by Nina Persson.
Like with all "Send Away the Tigers" -related promo material, the cover image is taken from the photography book Monika Monster Future First Woman On Mars by Valerie Philips.
The song won "Best Track" at the Q Awards 2007.
