This 4-disc set presents complete recordings of Ligeti's music on Deutsche Grammophon, recorded between 1968 and 1995 for DG, Decca and Philips. The works include pieces for solo instruments (organ, piano), chamber ensembles, the works for chorus and instrumental concerti. The various ensembles - Ensemble InterContemporain, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, London Sinfonietta, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Choir of North German Radio Hamburg, the Hagen Quartet, Vienna Brass Soloists, LaSalle Quartet and exceptional soloists - are under the direction of such luminaries as Claudio Abbado, David Atherton, and Pierre Boulez.
This upload is a substitute for recent valuable post of soloweb. It appears that several tracks in each image file of the soloweb’s set contain irreparable faults. Hence is the need of this post with all due respect to previous efforts.
