Such a famous symphonic masterpiece deserves the best musical treatment. Karajan is in his element, he really got into the inner aspects of this symphony. The Wiener philharmoniker is is in his best form, the sound is rich and pure, and the direction of the video gives us interesting glimpses of the performers. If you already know this piece, you'll rediscover it in this version.
