    JoosTVD- Gift Shot [2005]
    Songwriter | CD mp3 192 kbps | 92 mb
label: JoosTVD Records | Released: March 2005

9th album of Dutch songwriter JoosTVD (The Vanished Dutchman).
My parents drove us kids nuts with all those allnight '60 parties: the loud music is still ringing in my ears!. Thanks to them I fell into a pool of colourful sauce: blues, rock, jazz, classical, folklore, so i had to do something with that.
I got on my knees when I saw Boz Scaggs singing What Can I Say on TV…what could I say? The same happened with Roxy music, David Bowie, Gino Vannelli, Todd Rundgren. All eclectic stuff. I still thank them for the inspiration. I love soul, funk, jazz, latin (like Eric Burdon & War's Spill The Wine). Gimme some New Orleans Dr.John and the rhythms of Little Feat….
Well, there are many times I just wanna give it up, but…I can't….I admit I'm addicted to music…
Started in 1979 with a hihat…original a drummer, playing all different kind of styles around Breda, Netherlands. Discovered the word and the string to pin down a song. Sang a few bars from his songs with his coalminevoice (rough and black) and performed in the area with Catch My Drift, a very eclectic circuslike band from 1987-1995.
Won a few prizes as well. After that he went on a journey in songwriting, playing and recording his songs by himself.
    Plublishing them on the web….

A lot of styles (jazz, blues, latin, funk) are mixed into a personal sauce. All done with a popsense (hooks and melodies). Especially for all the great singers (heeey Mathilde Santing, do me a favour and call me!) out there who are looking for groovy tunes to complete their repertoire.
