    Жак Лусье, французский пианист с классическим образованием, еще в 1959 году начал скрещивать Баха с джазом. Он и его трио были не первыми, но самыми талантливыми и тонкими среди своего барок-джазового поколения. Во всеобъемлющей баховской музыке Лусье находил элегантные и остроумные возможности для свинга. Чужой текст он препарировал деликатно, без крови, оставляя нетронутой фабулу. Это довольно сложно, если учесть, что джаз и музыка письменной традиции строятся по совершенно разным законам. Бах у Лусье получался мягкий, плюшевый, но не пошлый.
