A multi-million-selling artist worldwide, Helmut Lotti (born Helmut Lotigiers on October 29, 1969) is a Belgian singer/songwriter who was first moved by music at a young age upon hearing the voice of one Elvis Presley. Becoming a crooner in much the same style as his idol, his first album appeared in 1990. After a few records that got him dubbed the "New Elvis" in his part of the world, Lotti shifted gears, and recorded a number of classical albums (a series entitled Helmut Lotti Goes Classic) before stretching out a bit in 1999, when he began to explore music from other continents. His albums of African and Russian musics were equally popular, and his 2006 album, The Crooners, was a number one hit in Belgium.

Une carrière qui fut récompensée seulement l'année dernière avec l'attribution d'un prix pour la vente de plus de 12.500.000 d'albums. Depuis Helmut Lotti Goes Classics et The Red Album, le célèbre belge a entamé un voyage musical sans égal au tour du monde, à travers des chemins classiques, des continents chauds en passant par des mélodies pops au rock classique.
Comme toujours Helmut Lotti ajoute son propre genre à Time to Swing avec son impeccable sensation pour ce qui swing. Il fait ceci avec des trompettes, des trombones et oui, avec des violons. Et naturellement, Mack The Knife est inclut sur l'album, en deux versions même, la célèbre version anglaise et la version originale allemande Mackie Messer par Bertold Brecht. Mais Time to Swing inclura également Cry me a River écrite pour Ella Fitzgerald et qui fut un hit mondial pour Julie London en 1955. Et That's Life de Frank Sinatra ne sera pas omise.
