With that same twinkle in his eye, Johnny Winter displays the brilliance of the blues that he has loved to play for so long. With Johnny Winter on guitar and vocals, and an extraordinary band behind him including, Scott Spray on bass, James Montgomery on harp, and Wayne June on drums, Johnny Winter and company rock Times Square. Johnny Winter got his start in the late 60's with his debut album rising to the top of the charts in 1969. He later started a band called "Johnny Winter And", with who he had his highest charting album. After his albums became much more blues oriented in the late 70's, Johnny Winter switched to the label Alligator for three albums, and has since recorded albums for the MCA and Pointblank. The DVD, Live in Times Square, features Johnny Winter playing a live show at the legendary B.B. King's Blues Club in New York. His remarkable guitar playing electrifies the room as the adoring crowd erupts. The energy and love for the music makes it very clear why Johnny Winter is a living legend. Bonus Material includes interviews with the band, a slide show, and a Hollywood rock walk.
