One of the greatest Cuban groups of the late 50s backs up some of the nation's greatest singers – a truly all-star array of talent, wonderfully presented in this set! All tracks here feature backings from the orchestra of Bebo Valdes – and singers include Omara Portuondo, Celeste Mendoza, Pio Leyva, Pacho Alonso, Rolando Laserie, and Amado Guapacha Borcela – vocalists who were helping move Cuban music into much more modern territory at the time, with a mix of soul, emotion, and class that's simply wonderful.
