When Alex Christensen published his ambitious project Classical 90s Dance in October 2017, he was sure of the curiosity of colleagues, fans and the media. As the most important German initiator of the techno, dance and eurodance movement, he initially worked as a DJ and composer, but quickly also as a producer of world fame.

Suddenly, the man who had been pulling the musical strings for more than 40 million records sold in the background since the early '90s, was supposed to explain what Classical 90s Dance was all about. The fact that someone like him rearranged a personal selection of characteristic hits of the genre and recorded them with the 49-member Berlin Orchestra drew attention. And incidentally, such a new genre was born: Orchestral Dance Music! The success proved him right: Top 10 charts placements, over 25 weeks in the charts, now more than 60,000 copies sold and 10 million video views worldwide catapulted the rather reserved character directly to where he never wanted to go: in the spotlight. I was surprised that the album was accepted so quickly and well, "recalls Alex Christensen, who had never tested the concept and its implementation, and the success was due to my idea, hits of the danceable, electronic music of the 90's with elements of classical music And he made him want to continue the project, and Classical 90s Dance 2 is now the logical continuation and culmination of his nearly 40-year musical journey, always on the cutting edge, always with a unique nose for Hits, he continues to be on the road as a music madman with the live implementation of the concept in. He is always about new musical territory to discover as a producer, arranger and as a fan Maybe Classical 90s Dance is therefore also a successful exception project. Alex Christensen has remained a music fan.
