Airbag are a 3-piece Spanish band, formed in Estepona (Málaga) in 1998. With great sense of humour and a massive crowd of fans in Spain and South America they have became a cult band. They started with a powerful Surf-Punk sound from the Ramones school of talent, and later have evolved to great Power-Pop act.

After 2 great demos and a long tour presenting them all over Spain, showing their powerful live sound around the country, they finally reached Wild Punk Records.
Their positive American point of view of punk rock goes along with the most vitalist and enjoyable accelerated music with a surf taste which is demonstrated in songs like: "Marta no es una punk", "El flotador" or " Prefiero la playa". Fast, loud, fun, short. Although they come from Costa del Sol, their sound transports us all the way to California. They sing in spanish and talk about summer, girls or horror movies. "Terror en el garaje", "Elena", "La chica no", are true anthems for spanish punk rockers.
These 17 songs were recorded in Pig Studios and entirely sang in spanish excepting 3 covers, the legendary "Don't Worry Baby" from The Beach Boys, plus a beautiful B-side from Lennon-McCartney "Thank You Girl", and reissue bonus track "I'm Gonna Strangle You Tonight" from Screeching Weasel, all were remastered for reissue by Joaquin Acusica.

This was Airbag's second album, released by major label BMG/Sony, who pulled out the plug on the band 3 weeks after releasing it and selling 2 thousand copies in less than a month. Fans all over the world weren't able to buy this album anymore for 3 years, but now it's out in Wild Punk Records.

Airbag's 3rd full-length album, and once again back in Wild Punk Records. After flirting with "El Ejerecito Rojo" (subsidiary of BMG) they decided that big labels do it just as bad as small labels when it comes to pop-punk. So why not better stick with the old Wild Punk Records. Back to its roots, of happy bopping pop punk songs about the beach, girls, aliens, scary 80's movies, and the bad luck that their members tend to have. This album has manage to overtake the quality of their previous releases, both in technique and especially in Song Writing, as well as the incredible quality of the recording which was taken care of by the master of Spain's Power Pop Paco Loco (From Australian Blonde), who took care of the recording as well as the mixing and production of this album.

Airbag's Alto Disco is confirming them as the masters of their genre, though this new record opens up a little bit the influences range to more modern pop sounds. So besides the usual Ramones/Screeching Weasel touch, Airbag can sound close to bands like Weezer, Rentals or Teenage Fanclub on this album.
