    Once again, Geoff Thorpe and the boys have created another kick ass album from beginning to end. Each and every song on this hard to find gem is worthy to be heard. The guitaring is top shelf…and Carl Albert truly sings his ass off, as always. Sadly, this was the last official studio release to feature the ultra talented Carl Albert. Carl passed away within a few months of this albums release. As far as the music on this album goes…its fairly hard to categorize…its not thrash, not straight forward power metal, and its too heavy just to be called "heavy metal". I suppose the easiest way to explain the overall vibe on this album as a whole would be to combine all the aformentioned genre's with a twist of prog-metal. That about sums it up…Thrashy, powerfull, heavy prog-metal. If that doesn't peek your interest, then I don't know what will…truly an interesting album with some very origional sounding tunes. The production as a unit is a bit thin at times, but the overall talent of the players makes up for it. Aside from Carl Albert's vocals…if you're not familiar with this band and you are heavily influenced by shredding guitar players, then this album is for you. Not just this one in particular though, but rather each and every Vicious Rumors album thats ever been released features awesome shred infested guitaring. Geoff Thorpe and Mark McGee are deadly fuckin' players! Also, this album can be found on the German SPV label with 2 bonus tracks…1. Communication Breakdown by Zepplin, and 2. Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones. I must advise anyone who is annoyed with the countless cover versions of Paint it Black…this is the BEST fuckin' cover version you'll ever hear! Yes, I've heard WASP's, Anvil's, and Glen Tipton's, version…they don't hold a candle to this one. Carl Albert was a TRUE metal god!
