An improvisational jam band with a nonetheless rigorous approach to their music, Chicago-based Umphrey's McGee made a name for themselves early in their career with live shows and underground distribution of CDs. They are loved as much for their Zappa-esque sense of humor as for their virtuosic playing–half the band members hold music degrees–and have garnered a loyal fan base throughout the midwest. Since that time Umphrey's McGee has gone through many changes but the days of yore are fondly remembered in this DVD. The magic of the live Umphrey's experience has been captured and will be a collector's item for fans new and old.
