Already shortly after his first separation of the ACCEPT in 1987 Udo Dirkschneider was exceedingly productive as a solo artist and could immediately achieve with his first works decent success. However also if about his brief return in the lap one of the tape par excellence if it is about traditional Heavy Metal from Germany has probably saddened nobody, it has not damaged to the career of the striking singer to break with ACCEPT 1997 once more and finally. At least with his first solo work after this time U.D.O. proved "Solid" certainly that he has to offer thus something also without his former tape colleagues. Thus the work immediately scored with several hits which are found still today in the live programme U.D.O.s. Immediately of the Opener "Independence Day" surprises not only with vigorous and straightem Riffing, but also with a virtually epic refrain which nests immediately in the auditory canals. Admittedly is brilliant "Solid" not generally, however, against the title of the album is merely respectable not a single one of the songs or average, so that the album sags at no moment really, but gives incessantly pleasure and carries away.
