The Story of the Animals has been well told across innumerable books and CD compilations over the year - including Raven's own and definitive Absolute Animals 1964-1968 (RVCD-178). The task here then is not to restate the band's history, but to explore the music contained within. Gratefully Dead 1964-1968 is not a "Greatest Hits" package (as Absolute Animals most assuredly is), rather a trawl through a selection of outstanding album cuts and rare B-sides that will give even further insight into the musical depth of one of the most inventive and best loved bands of the 1960s.Track Listing:
