TEARDROPS BLUES JAM - This is the CD of the members of the best Chicago Blues Band today - MAGIC SLIM & The Teardrops.

NICK HOLT is not only one of the finest bassmen in Chicago, but also known for his rough vocals. He was born in Grenada, Miss., January 15,1940 and moved to the Windy City 1956. Four years later he and his brother Morris Holt (Magic Slim) formed a band - known as the "Teardrops".

EARL HOWELL was born on February 11, 1958, in Chicago, III. He started to play piano and saxophone, although he got his first set of drums in 1967.1979 he joined E. Shaw & the Wolf Gang. When they made a trip to Europe, he recorded also for Sugar Blue; Earl switched to Jazz music but finally returned to Blues and played with Lonnie Brooks, Koko Taylor, A. C. Reed, Louis Myers and Son Seals. 1991 he became a member of the Teardrops.
