    Ouch is the 1994 CD by Tracy & The Hindenburg Ground Crew. The group consisted of Tracy "Ace" Thielen, Smokey Hormel, Duke McVinnie and James Cruce and called Los Angeles home. Or something. Thielen is now dead, from an overdose of an unknown origin. This was a part of Action Box Records' short and brief discography.
    TRACY & THE HINDENBURG GROUND CREW…

    … formed in 1992. The logical progression of the solo work of singer/songwriter Tracy Thielen, the band was at first known as Ace T. & the Hindenburg Ground Crew. The founding members were James Cruce (drums), Smokey Hormel (guitar), and Duke McVinnie (bass).

    … currently is Christian Carbone (from Seattle's Purdins) on guitar Danny McGough (Tom Waits) on keyboards, Andy Sykora (The Negro Problem) on drums, Tracy on rhythm guitar and vocals, and Miiko Watanabe (Morris Tepper) on bass and tuba.

    …has a version of its song Found A Friend (from MARGARET DUMONT) in the soundtrack of the Ridley Scott film G.I.JANE.

    …had a track from its most recent release (DRUNK from GLITTER DISCO SYNTHESIZER NIGHT SCHOOL) included in the SPIN MAGAZINE COLLEGE RADIO PROGRAM.

    …has a song (OHNO from OUCH) being covered by the band Shivaree on their recording debut for Capitol Records slated for release this Fall.

    …has a good friend in the band X. Exene Cervenkova covered CRAZY (from OUCH) on tour opening for Neil Young several years back, and more recently she and John Doe sang a duet of DRUNK live. John Doe called GLITTER DISCO SYNTHESIZER NIGHT SCHOOL one of his favorite recent records in the January 1999 issue of MAGNET.

    …was dissed by Eric Stoltz when it performed at the PULP FICTION wrap party. He didn't like the opening number – a bloodcurdling scream (with guitar accompaniment) called OLD FOLK SONG.
