Since I Left You is the 2001 CD by the Australian group The Avalanches. The entire album is a collage of sounds from outside sources, being one of the first albums to be created with 100% samples. This CD features the hits "Since I Left You", "Electricity", and "Frontier Psychiatrist". This CD rip is the second mix released, as the Australian version featured certain samples that did not make it into versions outside of Australia and New Zealand. This was released by Modular via Sire.

The Avalanches create a sample-based album in the tradition of Coldcut, DJ Shadow, The Herbalizer, DJ Krush, Jazzanova, Jaga Jazzist, and many others who take the essence of dusty records and turn it into a unique blend of "found sound". Upon first listening, it may sound like some weird disco cruise ship, but stay along for the ride and you will hear one of the most imaginative recordings of the last few years. The sample-based production not only acknowledges their love of discarded records and sounds, but also throws many hints at their influences. Take a deeper listen and one may discover a storyline. Hold on tight, book a flight to another world of 20,000 girls and milk.
