Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter Steve James has carved a niche for himself in the acoustic and folk-blues scene through a lot of touring. He's built his fan base the old-fashioned way, without the support of an international record company marketing machine. Killer acoustic blues and folk, Texas style. Reminiscent of a young Ry Cooder, but Steve's his own man. Soulful singing, strong picking, good tunes. Plays a mean slide guitar and tosses some tasty mandolin as well. It even inspired a new song-cant ask more than that.
