    With his new album Soul Revolution, Morrison is looking for the pieces of the puzzle that form the man he has become today. An important part of this is his youth in Suriname. A recurring theme on the album is the symbolism that Morrison receives from the culture of his ancestors. "Dreams often tell you a lot about yourself, they tell you about your origins, about your culture and even about your future. In the centuries-old slave rituals zjn several rituals described that have been taken from Ghana to Suriname. One of the rituals is about an eagle called "opete". Ever since I was a kid, I've had a dream where I could fly. In the last dream I had, I put on the naughty shoes and shared the dream with my family. That's how I found out about the connection. Flying in my dreams is about accepting imperfection, being a screen master to my neighbor and getting rid of all obstacles.keeping me from growing as a man, man, artist and father" describes Steffen. This makes Soul Revolution a very personal album on which the soul singer more than ever shows who is hiding behind the artist Steffen Morrison.
