I've been a fan of Savage Messiah since Plague of Conscience, however, that album doesn't even hold a candle to this one. As other reviews have stated, this album definitely has a USPM feel, alongside being very thrash based, despite this band being based in London. Overall, the sound is pretty much USPM-inspired thrash metal, and manages to stand out in a never-ending sea of generic thrash bands.

Striking back after their previously mentioned 2012 album, I'm definitely impressed. While that album was definitely great, I enjoy this album much more. Lyrically, it deals in the same subject matter of Plague of Conscience, which pretty much deals in the hypocrisy in the church. However, delivery-wise, this album is definitely not as shallow as the lyrics would suggest. All throughout the album, there's a certain flow, as well as a very noticeable melody.

At the beginning of Iconocaust, you can tell exactly what the previously mentioned melody is like. From the get-go, vocalist Dave Silver seems determined to see how melodically he can deliver the lyrics, and he does an excellent job. Everyone else also does a similarly excellent job. They've successfully taken the aggressiveness of thrash and mixed it with the melody unique to USPM, and that's not something many bands are able to do. It even includes a power ballad, in the form of Live As One Already Dead. I definitely believe that they've grown a lot as musicians since their last album.

Overall, the production on this album is done very well. It's very high quality, just as the actual music itself is. The tracks don't all sound similar, but they sound similar enough to know that these tracks are all fragments that fit into the same piece of art. I would definitely recommend this album for someone trying to get into this band, or even someone trying to get into the thrash or USPM genres in general.
