Roy Milton and his Solid Senders were an LA based jazzy R&B group that played an important role in getting a tiny local label called Juke Box Records ( later Specialty ) on the national map. With the graceful female touch of boogie woogie piano stylings from Camille Howard solidly behind him, drummer and vocalist Roy Milton lead the smooth cocktail blues group to success starting in the late 1940’s into the early 1950’s.
