Not German; not Russian; not experimental; but rather Nordic in feel - by which I mean styles all the way from lyrical like Grieg to grandly flowing like Sibelius. Seems both ancient and modern at the same time and the violinist who holds it all together, Kai Laursen, has a lovely touch that ranges from sweet and gentle to piercingly powerful.Tracks CD 1:
