Have I talked about my country radio? Right? Ah! Well, in my younger days (yesterday I think), looking for all the music that wasn't usual.
During Holy Week, many radio stations broadcast a special program, in which all the dishes hearing unfolded in recent memory. In one of these sessions (which were the 3 days of uninterrupted music, rock, prog, symphonic, folk, etc), they played this album today I give you "The woman I loved so well" of "Planxty". It's a jewel, I think all of "Planxty" discography is good, and very good! because they keep their folk roots on "modernity" or "evolution." While up on the last record some synthesizers (very gently do you forgive him?).
Two songs on this album remain stored in a special way in my auditory memory "True love knows seasons" and "Little Musgrave", two beautiful fine folk ballads. "Little Musgrave" with a duration of 12 minutes and the small detail of genius: the last section concludes with an irish flute, as if it were part of the song, but it is … unexpected exquisite detail. Remember the "Peace Train" by Cat Stevens? Also, the last section should be about 7 seconds apart is like a melody, something will happen or we will hear something new, no, the song ended up sobbing!

¿Les he hablado de las radios de mi tierra?¿si?¡Ah! Bueno, en mis años mozos (ayer creo), buscaba toda la música que no fuera la habitual.
Durante la Semana Santa, muchas radios difundían una programación especial: en que se desplegaban todos los manjares auditivos que se tenga memoria. En una de esas sesiones (que eran los 3 días ininterrumpidos de música, rock, prog, sinfónica, folk, etc), tocaron este disco que hoy les entrego "The woman I loved so well" de "Planxty". Es una joya, creo que toda la discografía de Planxty es buena, ¡y muy buena! porque mantienen sus raices folclóricas sobre la "modernidad" o "evolución". Aunque, integran en el último disco unos sintetizadores (muy suavemente ¿se lo perdonamos?).
Dos canciones de este disco permanecen guardadas de manera especial en mi memoria auditiva "True love knows seasons" y "Little musgrave", dos preciosas baladas de un fino folk. "Little musgrave" con un tiempo de duración de 12 minutos y el detallito de la genialidad: la última sección termina con una flauta irlandesa, como si no fuera parte de la canción, pero, lo es … exquisitos detalles inesperados. ¿Se acuerdan de "Peace train" de Cat Stevens? También, la última sección que debe ser de unos 7 segundos, es como una melodía aparte, algo va a pasar o algo nuevo vamos a escuchar, no, terminó la canción ¡sollozos!
Las carátulas del LP son cortesía de BarrieB/cianfulli, y yo aproveché de rearmarlas para CD. Y también están las originales del sello Tara, bastante pobretonas, como siempre.
