Muddy Waters eldest son Mud Morganfield presents his unique brand of charismatic Chicago blues, a mix of Muddy s epic songs and his own original material!

Blessed with a commanding voice, alternately conveying deep emotional resonance and good old-fashioned testosterone-fuelled strut, Muddy Waters son Mud Morganfield lives up to the dauntingly big shoes he has been left to fill. Though his voice, zest, and swagger do at times summon up the ghost of his father to perfection, he stands as his own man, a popular festival and concert attraction on both sides of the Atlantic. Debut album Fall Waters Fall was released in 2008, followed by the critically acclaimed Son of a Seventh Son. Produced by Bob Corritore and released in 2012 on Severn Records, the album was recorded in Chicago and featured Mud s earthy, soulful vocals backed by a cadre of blues all-stars. The Blues Is In My Blood was recorded live in June 2008. Mud treated the nearly 400-strong audience to some redhot blues that night, fronting The Dirty Aces, who regularly tour the UK and Europe to high acclaim. Features Giles Robson, the charismatic British blues singer and harmonica player recently voted Best Harmonica Player of the Year in Blues Matters.
