    Accompanied by bassist Jérémy Bruyère and drummer André Ceccarelli, the pianist released the album "Michel on My Mind Tribute to Michel Petrucciani".

    At the beginning of the year the world of music celebrated with emotion one of its greatest creators, disappeared January 6, 1999 in New York. With his virtuosity, singularity and generosity Michel Petrucciani had become one of the most popular musicians of his generation, reaching audiences beyond circles and genres with his "songs" made of liberated harmonies, breathless rhythms and melodic emotions played simply, with passion.

    Among the admirers of the Maestro, the prodigy of keyboards Laurent Coulondre, subjugated from an early age by the creativity of the virtuoso of Orange. Become a pianist acclaimed by the great festivals of the planet jazz, the musician immerses himself in the soul of the music of Petrucciani, with a collection of sublime original compositions recorded with bassist Jérémy Bruyère and drummer André Ceccarelli.

    Whether playing on piano or organ, Laurent Coulondre is part of this young generation of jazzmen who perfectly master the history and codes of jazz, which they redefine without taboo contours. Sacred "Revelation" at the Victoires du Jazz in 2016, the artist perpetuates the legacy of these pioneers including Michel Petrucciani. On the album Michel on My Mind Tribute to Michel Petrucciani, waited for August 23rd on New World Production, he puts his melodic and rhythmic talent in the service of a moving repertoire, a music with a thousand colors alternating with inventiveness fulgurances swing and elegant ballads . The trio never falls into the trap of an unachievable and inept repetition of Petrucciani's music, he captures the essence with this generous, modern and poignant jazz.
