Juliane Ruf - Traumgekrönt (2017)

A song evening is sung language. That is why, as an interpreter, it is my task to draw the listeners quickly and easily into this sphere, to prepare them for the transition to this entirely different world. On this CD I have selected songs that have grown to my heart. In the music of Richard Strauss I am at home and it fits well with the fin-de-Siècle feeling of Berg. We then searched specifically for songs whose lyrics left the reality behind, and came across works with the theme of flowers. This contains much ambiguity. And there are absolutely still feelings of today, which are treated in these songs, addressed, analyzed. Since the time of the composition, decades have passed, many things can be said differently today, as a singer I translate into the present. They are magnificent, very finely executed paintings of girls, miniatures on an imaginary wall, which speak directly to us (HANNA-ELISABETH MÜLLER). Hanna-Elisabeth Müller studied with Rudolf Piernay, with whom she continues to work closely. The multi-award-winning soprano won further fine-tuning in master classes by Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Julia Varady, Elly Ameling and Thomas Hampson.
