Here is another CD from the same producer and musicians behind "Elvis: The New Recordings," which debuted in January 2015 on the 80th anniversary of Presley's birth, and quickly won worldwide praise from fans and music critics alike. Many people asked for another overdub CD and this is it: "ELVIS: THE NEW SESSIONS" (2016). Each of these fantastic songs will sound FRESH AND NEW to you - as if Elvis just recorded them today, and feature brilliant musical settings. These 20 tracks represent some of The King's best studio work, from a time frame when he was in good health and good voice (1957-1962). Some of the songs are classics, while others may be unfamiliar to you. The producer has been careful to preserve the intimacy, simplicity and authenticity of Elvis's vocal performances through expert remastering. The sound quality is EXCELLENT. The musicians who played on this new CD have backed major stars like Aretha Franklin, Elton John, Patti Austin, Barry Manilow, Carrie Underwood, Willie Nelson, Norah Jones, Don McLean, Jaci Velasquez, Paul Simon, the Dixie Chicks and more. One of them even played for the Pope! The repertoire includes Memphis/Sun studio-style rock and blues, pop stylings with lush strings, Nashville with steel and dobro, Latin-flavored up-tempo (including twin trumpets), some quiet ballads with an acoustic feel, a reworking of a Presley Gospel number and even a beloved traditional Christmas carol - "Silent Night" - on which, for the first time, Elvis is backed by an angelic children's choir! It is a tour de force of some of Elvis's finest vocal performances when he was in his prime. THIS UNIQUE CD is destined to remain a favorite with fans for years to come!
