2014 release, the third album from Dark Flood, hailing from Oulu Finland. INVERNO includes 10 songs of melancholy-filled melodic death metal. The band relies firmly on their well-known strength of painting great atmospheres and creating a powerful, mesmerizing mood. The Ruumensaari brothers have once again written awesome songs, reaching the highest standard of metal. INVERNO reveals the harder side of Dark Flood and even moments of progressive metal with clean vocals. The sound is just the right combination of familiar old school and new elements that keeps the sound fresh without any artistic compromises, which have never been an option for the band. The albums theme and message is simple: 'This will not end well.'
