    Alan Davey, the Elf, once bass guitarist for Hawkwind, and leader of the band Bedouin, now the bass assassin for the Meads of Asphodel is responsible for this excellent solo album from the mid nineties. As a bonus it also features former Hawkwind vocalist Ron Tree on three tracks. Alan does all the instruments himself in fine form and professional execution. Eight of the remaining nine tracks are sans vocals: instrumental excursions into sonic space and ethereal cosmic glimmerings. These solid compositions result in superb space music in the extreme. Great tracks include the excellent Thunderbird, The Call, Pre Med and Never Comedown.~Amazon
